Congratulations on the approaching birth of your child!
We realize that the months leading up to the birth of your child are filled with joy, excitement, anticipation and many questions. We do not want to wait until the birth of your child to help support you as parents and begin working together.
We welcome you to schedule a prenatal consultation to view our offices, meet our staff and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have with our physicians. Our prenatal consultations are offered by appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in our office at no cost.
If you should decide to use our practice for your child, you do not need to contact our office. Simply inform your OB/GYN prior to delivery that you have selected GPM Pediatrics, and the hospital will notify us of your child's birth.
If you deliver your baby at any of affiliated hospitals, one of our physicians will gladly come to visit you and your child within 24 hours of their birth to ensure your newborn baby is healthy. We will perform several physical examinations, review lab results, monitor your baby's weight and jaundice level, etc.
If you are delivering in a hospital other than Lutheran Medical Center, New York Methodist Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center, or Richmond University Medical Center, a pediatrician from the hospital will visit your baby. We therefore encourage you to schedule an appointment in our office within 2-3 days of discharge from the hospital.

Important Note for Parents:
It is extremely important that you add your new baby to your insurance policy once your baby is born. Most insurance plans have a 30 day grace period for newborns to be added to the policy. Once the grace period has expired if the baby is not added the parent will be responsible for charges incurred. Please remember to bring your insurance card, copay, and patient forms to your first visit.
